The Must-Have Item in my MU Case

As anyone obsessed with cosmetics knows: there is one item that you just really cannot live without.
For me, this one item is eyeliner: gel and cream.  I have tried formulations from MAC, Smashbox and L'Oreal.
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack ($15) is a gel eyeliner and my go to for great pigmentation. It is excellent for a little definition or for dramatic winged eyes.

Smashbox Cream Liner Palette has 10 pots of gorgeous colors that are workable and enable you to do very defined lines or a smoky eye as it can be blended ($32). The colors are metallic and not for the faint of heart.

L'OREAL HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Eggplant ($10.92). I must say that I was a bit disappointed with the pigmentation. The color is not 'true' to what was seen in the pot. In the pot it is a vivacious purple, but when applied, it is very subtle.

Their price points are different, but I can safely say that I do prefer the MAC and Smashbox formulations more as their pigments are more pronounced on application.
There are several brushes that I do use to apply these products. My favorites are Smashbox Cream Eye Liner Brush #9  (a synthetic eyeliner brush) which retails for $20 and Smashbox Arced Liner Brush #21  (a precision angled eyeliner brush) which retails for $20.

 I will not even touch the subject of pencils as that column could go on for days.
Subtle or dramatic, pay attention to your eyes, they are 'the windows to your soul'.
