Eyeliner

Every makeup enthusiast like myself has one product that they cannot do without.  Mine is cream and gel eyeliner.  I have tried formulations from MAC, Smashbox and L'Oreal.
I love MAC Fluid Liner in Blacktrack ($15).  Its workable and the gel is highly pigmented. I've found it to be great for precision lines or for smudging to create a smoky eye.
Smashbox cream liner palette ($32) is heaven for an eyeliner lover with 10 gorgeous colors.  I love that it is waterproof, especially in the sweltering heat in summer.
L'Oreal HiP High Intensity Pigments Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Eggplant is my latest purchase ($5.99). What got my attention was the really vibrant purple color.  It is packaged with a brush but it I must say is the worst brush that I have ever tried to use on my eyes, way too rough. I, very disappointed as it does not live up to its name as the pigments are not high intensity and it dries out too fast to even be considered workable.
The brushes that I cannot live without are all from Smashbox.  They are the arced liner brush #21 ($20), the cream liner brush #9 ($20) and the definer brush #13 ($24).
I do my precision lines with the first brush, a broader stroke with the second and smudge with the third.
I like tht fact that you can do very thin and precise lines with the arced brush.  a broader stroke may be attained with the cream liner brush and i do the smokey eye effect with the definer brush .

Sensitive skin needs moisturizer too

I must say that I am truly impressed with L'Oreal's Youth Code Serum Intense ($24.99).  My skin is very sensitive as I do suffer from bouts  with eczema with the onset of any extreme in weather (hot or cold).
This product gives me the moisture that I need yet at the same time feels very sheer on application , and most importantly does not irritate my skin.
The packaging is chic as well.

Is the world of 'beauty' pretty ugly?

Through the wonderful world of Twitter I have been able to interact with some famous MUAs and have noticed that they are very gracious with their tips and in answering fan questions.
What I have noticed though is that there are some 'ugly' individuals who despite the busy schedule of the pros make demands on them and when they are not satisfied with the answer they receive start a verbal attack.
Now, as far as I see it, these persons are pros for a reason. We chose to follow them but why ask for advice if clearly you are going to be offended?
